Transport, custom lawyer and port law lawyers
Port law lawyers
Would you like to be accompanied by a custom lawyer, transport lawyer or a port lawyer in one of your projects? MOULET MARTY AVOCATS can assist.
Located on the French Riviera, next to Monaco and Cannes, in order to take advantage of the Mediterranean and its many marinas, we are used to helping professionals make the right choices in port and transport law.
For more than twenty years, we have been defending the interests of shippers, consignees, forwarding agents and carriers before the French Metropolitan and Overseas Commercial Courts in order to defend their interests in disputes that arise during the transport of goods.
We are regularly called upon to offer our services as lawyers in port and transport law in French Riviera, Monaco, Cannes, and we also work on all the sea facades both in France and abroad. You can call upon us whether you are in France or abroad.
Our firm is in the immediate vicinity of the Chamber of Transport of the Commercial Court of Marseille. If you have any questions related to port law or transport law, you can contact our firm by phone or via the form on our contact page.
You should know that we also intervene in many fields of law such as maritime affairs law, customs controls or yachting law. Find out more about our fields of action by browsing our website or by contacting us by phone or via the form on our contact page.

- Port Operator, Stevedore
- Laytime and Demurrage
- Freight Forwarding
We intervene in the event of damage caused to goods during maritime transport. We represent shippers, consignees, cargo insurers, carriers, freight forwarders and commission agents in order to defend their interests in these disputes (representation before Commercial Courts, organisation of expert appraisals in order to establish damage reports, etc.).
We also intervene in disputes relating to the payment of laytime and demurrage for goods stored in ports of delivery or unloading.
Our firm takes action on behalf of shipping agents in order to resolve legal issues related to the vessel’s port of call (ship arrest, port disputes, etc.).
Our intervention is facilitated by our firm’s strategic location in Marseille, a port of call for many ships.
We intervene in disputes relating to the transport of goods involving a forwarding agent (exercise of forwarding agent’s privilege, standard freight forwarding contract, forwarding agent liability).
We advise port operators in the development of their activities (assistance in the creation of stevedoring companies, shipping agents, etc.).
We also intervene in the interests of port operators of the ship in a port of call to assist in managing their disputes (stevedores, terminal operators, etc.).
